The increase in the list of AIU partner universities was marked by the accession of the Zwickau University of Applied Sciences, located in Germany. A significant step in the development of this partnership was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at a meeting held at the end of November with the participation of the rectors of both educational institutions.

In the context of the MoU, students of Master's degree programs in Engineering and Informatics, as well as Management, are given the opportunity to obtain a double degree. The initiatives of organizing visits of AIU lecturers to Zwickau for short-term research projects were also discussed. In addition, researchers and young Ph.D students from Zwickau are planning to visit the Silk Road Research Center in AIU.

It should be noted that at the moment, students of the double degree master's program “Development Economics” are in Germany, where they are actively participating in academic events together with lecturers. AIU expresses its gratitude to the University of Applied Sciences of Zwickau for the warm welcome and hopes that the cooperation will be mutually beneficial!
