December 27, 2023

On December 22, 2023, the Council for Coordinating the implementation of the Student Startup pilot program under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic decided to provide financial support to 8 startup projects. Among them there is a startup project of an automated decoding (reading) system ECG “ECG Vision” of Ahmed Myrzakulov, a 2nd year student of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of the AIU. The curator of the project is Andrey Ermakov, the consultants are Ruslan Isaev and Altynbek Akzholov.

The “ECG Vision” project is an innovative application designed to instantly decode heart activity charts without the need for long waits in clinics. With the unique function of scanning and recognizing diagrams using the camera, the application quickly generates a binary result of the heart condition, providing accurate and accessible diagnosis 24/7. It has a high accuracy in determining pathologies and allows to register the results automatically in the electronic medical record of the patient. It is planned to expand the functionality to the analysis of other medical data and to train artificial intelligence for a more accurate diagnosis of heart diseases. This project aims to provide society with a fast, high-quality and accurate tool for monitoring the condition of the heart, bringing artificial intelligence to the field of medicine for the benefit of health. Following the results of the voting, the project was noted by the Ministry of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic and financial support was allocated for the development of the startup.” said project curator Andrey Ermakov.

The Student Startup competition received 158 applications from students from 21 universities and 3 colleges. In the final, the students defended startup projects in the fields of information and digital technologies, medical technologies, biotechnology, agricultural technologies, green economy, and creative industry. On September 1, 2022, business incubators were opened in 30 higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan in order to support the creative economy, entrepreneurship and create conditions for the implementation of startup projects by young people.
